Hello Oppo, meet Cornbread.

He was dropped off this morning by his foster. I can tell we got a good one because his foster teared up a bit when he handed him over.

He’s been whining a bit as he explores his new home, but his tail hasn’t stopped wagging. He’s very affectionate.

I am guessing they are greyhounds. My parents have two whippets, “ Turkey” and Kobe the elder, and they are fantastic dogs, if you like couch potatoes that is.

Yep, they’re both retired racers. We got Ruby last August and she has been so fantastic we were ready for another.

I’m sure he’s very confused. He had some medical issues when he first got to the rescue so he was with his foster a lot longer than normal.

That’s the plan. We’re doing a 10 day trial to see how he does here, but for such a big change he’s doing well so far.

My mother in law is already talking about a sweater for him. She wanted us to test fit the one she made Ruby, but he’s quite a bit bigger so once he’s settled we’ll measure him for her.

Adorable. I really wish I could have a dog. One of my neighbors used to have a rescue greyhound, she was such an absolute sweetheart.

Ruby is doing really well. They’ve run around the backyard together, and we took them for a walk around the neighborhood.

The cats are going to need time to learn that he’s not interested in them. His foster had cats, and he apparently never showed a bit of interest in them.

Awesome! Our last 3 dogs have been rescue dogs (including one that my wife and son literally rescued themselves after she was dumped at the local NASCAR track) and they are the best dogs.
